Cosmos & Life
“You are a function of what the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is a function of what the whole ocean is doing.” — Alan Watts
Big dipper is one of my favorite constellations. Late summer months it orients itself to horizontal position creating great photo opportunities. This occasion I decided go for a self-portrait.
An Iconic Windsor castle with comet Neowise. My very first experience of a comet. Oh boy…. it was glorious; comet was visible to naked eye even from light polluted skys of Windsor.
I used a custom built tool to control the zoom as well as the focus of the lens to achieve this image of milkyway. Goes on to show how far a bit of creativity could take you ..!!
One of my favorite nights. Arora was stunning. But what stood out the most was how lights from the villages blended in with light from heavens. Perfect harmony..!
Probably no better way to enjoy the calmness and witness the beauty of our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda. I just love these simple compositions.
‘Costal path’ of UK provides trekkers with some of the best scenery the country has to offer. With the nature of the landscape, It also produces great photo opportunities as well. Summer evenings such as this is great to capture people with moon. The perspective with the aid of a telephoto lens makes the photo surreal.
I walked pass these trees many time before, always felt like they have something special for a photograph. But never really managed to figure it out until this day. I used artificial lighting to bring out the tree trunks lined up just perfectly, and threw me in there to show how tall the trees were. I guess it was Venus in the sky shining by the trees.
One of the most spectacular moments I witnessed. The sky gets ready to welcome the sun. Far end of the land its still twilight, lights on. From 1000m above from a mountain I was enjoying a moment which lasted only few minutes. Night transitioning to day. Such a treat to watch.
Night sky is full of wonders. Dark place far away from cities allows us to see our own galaxy. Its quite fascinating to see what we learned in science books in our own eyes.
Shown in picture is a conjunction of Moon and Venus captured in Wales, UK. Foggy conditions made the scene heavenly.
Captured in photo is a Robin silhouetted by the bokeh of the waxing gibbous moon.
Captured in camera is city lights glowing in the distance during the blue hour in Austrian Alps.
Night sky is not all about stars, galaxies and nebula. Like in this image where the skys of Dartmoor, UK lit up by Zodical light. Faint but astonishing.
I was very privileged to be invited for some photography in Beltane Festival of Butser Ancient Farm in 2016. This is the festival summed up in single photo. Amazing atmosphere..!
